'I Want To Be With Carrie': Last Words Of Hollywood Legend Debbie Reynolds, 84, Who Died Of A Suspected Stroke, Just One Day After Her Daughter Carrie Fisher Died Of A Heart Attack
Unbelievable, isn't it? To quote Yogi Berra, "This is too coincidental to be a coincidence."
I hope they're together now, doing their witty, razor-sharp schticks, and enjoying eachother's company. My best wishes go out to their surviving family members and friends for their loss.
RIP Carrie and Debbie.
That was rather shocking at first and then I thought, perhaps not so shocking.
ReplyDeleteMay they both rest in peace together.
Have a fabulous day. ☺
Sandee: Me, too. There is such a thing as Takotsubo syndrome aka broken heart syndrome where severe stress in older women causes symptoms mimicking heart attack symptoms. Whatever they find as a cause of death, I believe it was exacerbated by Carrie's passing.
ReplyDeleteI'm not surprised. Sometimes you actually get what you want and I think that was true in Debbie Reynolds' case. She'd lived her life, she loved her daughter, Carrie, and didn't want to be separated.
ReplyDeleteWe're all going to end up with a mouth full of dirt, it's just a question of when.
My heart hurts for the family left behind.
ReplyDeleteThey each were in two of my favorite movies many years apart. I need to watch both movies again.
ReplyDeleteThey both thrilled several generations. I loved Debbie and my children and grandchildren loved Carrie. Nobody loved Eddie because he was a cad.
ReplyDeleteThe poor son/ brother of Carrie has a tough road ahead.
ReplyDeleteI so enjoyed the work they shared with the world.
May they rest in Peace as one with the force
