Reveries

It may not mean too much to many of you today, but I happened to run across this on Powerline Try To Remember and I thought it was worth remembering.

Composer Harvey Schmidt died last week in Houston at the age of 88. Most notably, Schmidt wrote the music for "The Fantasticks" (don't forget the 'k') and it opened at the Sullivan Street Playhouse in Greenwich Village in 1960 and continued its run for a mere 42 years.

Did you know that Jerry Orbach, well known as Det. Lenny Briscoe on Law & Order, played the character of El Gallo who launched the show when it opened in 1960.

What an interesting life Mr. Orbach lived.

l wpll always think of Jerry Orbach as a ainger, the TV guy was an alter ego.

LL: Jerry Orbach passed in 2004, but yes, worldly reknown is due to both men's passing.

Jen: It's so cool that you think of my beloved Jerry Orbach that way. I always thought of him as the iconic detective, Lenny Briscoe, NYPD.

Sandee: And I learn from you. Life is one long lesson so we might as well make it fun.
