She and George were driving through an area of Texas and stopped at the only gas station in a small town. The owner was there and when Barbara saw him she jumped out of the car and ran over to give him a huge hug, and they talked and talked for several minutes.

Back in the car, George asked her who that was, and she said he was her first boyfriend back when she was in high school. George grinned and said, "So if you'd married him, you would be the wife of the owner of a gas station in a small town in Texas, and instead you are married to the President of the United States." Barbara answered, "No, George, you don't understand. If I'd married him, HE would be President of the United States!"messymimihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10649529601786689712noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8585693.post-33150546536672194062018-04-18T11:26:02.018-04:002018-04-18T11:26:02.018-04:00Her family called her the Enforcer. I suggest that those changes were all for the better since she was a strong woman with steadfast moral values. She understood people, and the human condition and sought to exercise kindness and promote literacy as cures to a really messed up world. I think that she will be remembered fondly as a woman who did good - and what more can you ask for than that?LLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05538854359365988863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8585693.post-34471473810615200712018-04-18T08:09:12.896-04:002018-04-18T08:09:12.896-04:00I really respected this woman.
