Kitty Target

Deputies in Pinellas County, Fla., are searching for the person who shot a kitten with an arrow that came within inches of its heart, according to a Local 6 News report. Veterinarians removed the arrow piercing the kitten from its shoulder to abdomen and have nursed it back to health.

A kitten! What kind of messed up psycho would shoot a kitten?

I'm only posting this because it ends well. The kitten has been adopted by Kathy Powers, the good samaritan who found him. She named him Archer.

    Um, this is old news -- happened nearly a month ago:

    The kitty survived, has been adopted and given the name Archer. (Archery, Archer, get it?) And they caught the loser who did it the next day.

    Glad they arrested the dude but I hope there's some intervention. If not, we'llbe reading about the kitten again in his book in about 20 years. He'll be writing it from prison, where he'll be serving time for serial killings!

    Helen: you're right. Psychiatrists point to 3 signs leading to serial killers. One is torturing small animals, second is a fascination with fire, & third is blogging.

    tlm: Don;t jump the gun. Delay has just been indicted. He hasn't been convicted of cat skewering, yet (although from what I've heard about Travis County D.A. Ronnie Earle, he'd probably try that too).

    I remember blogging about that a while back. It is absurd, but I thought it was voted down. You know, I used to like Wisconsin (for the cheese), but now I don't know.

    jenny: I blogged about this on 4/12/05 and then again on 4/15/05. I guess I didn't follow up on it, but I thought cat hunting was voted down. Now I'm curious all over again.
