New Additions To The Family

Two gray short-haired tabbies arrived yesterday via my eldest daughter's math teacher, who found the 10-week old kittens in a box. Their names, Psyche and Pepper, are still tentative... I'm pushing for Spot and Puma, but the final decision is up to my daughters.

  3. Hey, good to see you here, birdwoman! But we now have a total of 4 cats & 1 dog. That's it. We've reached our limit. No more.

  4. We had a dog named Pepper when I was growing up. She was super-cool, and she used to let us dress her up in doll clothes and carry her around the neighborhood in a doll cradle. I love the name Pepper :-)

Have fun with your new kitties!

  5. Aww, awesome. I like "Psyche" and "Pepa. You could also call them "Shenzi" and "Banzai" after the hyenas from the Lion King, but people might not get the reference...even I had to look it up when I considered their resemblance, and had a moment of "Wait, THOSE was their names?"

Yep, stick with Psyche and Pepa. :)

  6. Your new kitties are so cute. Look at those EYES!
We had cats named Smokey and the Bandit.
Your daughters have the last word on the names, though. That's just how it is.

  7. Ah, very cute!

10 weeks old, eh? So, how long until you twist their little heads into freakish hurricane poses?

  8. The freakish hurricane poses will come if the cats so will it. It's up to them. They will if they want to fit in here.

  10. come to a compromise... agree on Puma and Pepper as the names.

  12. Ah kids, delightful, unreasonable, completely uncompromising and irrational. I loves 'em!
After all, it's that rigid inflexibility and total disregard for natural laws that allows us to smooch away ouchies and trick them into behaving by letting them look at a bug.
    Gotta love kids.

  13. Hey, that reminds me of the new planet, Xena, and its moon, Gabrielle. But no, the girls are determined to keep Psyche and Pepper. Although I do refer to them as Psycho and Pepperoni to annoy my children.

BTW they are full of mischief...
both the cats and the children.
