Al Lewis, the cigar-chomping patriarch of "The Munsters" whose work as a basketball scout, restaurateur and political candidate never eclipsed his role as Grandpa Munster from the TV sitcom, died Friday night at the age of 82.You can read the details of his madcap life here , but he'll always be Grandpa to me.
How I LOVED the Munsters, and Grandpa was an integral part of that program.

ReplyDeleteI've always thought that Madeline Albright resembles him. I know that's not very nice to say, but I really do see a resemblance. It's kind of like the resemblance I see in Macauly Culkin & Deborah Norville.
He seems like a lovely grandpa. Cogar-chomping? That made me smile...
