Katrina Re-Write

From Wizbang! blog comes an interesting post about the AP Katrina briefing story and its connection to, of all things, Rathergate.

A scary coincidence? I don't think so. Bush bashing is what it's about, whether it's
deserved, or not.

So I ask you, when did freedom of the press become the freedom of the press to lie?

  1. Looks like someone is *grasping at straws* possibly because Bush is at 34% in the polls & Cheney only 18%... a hell of a situation!

  2. A poll of angry Democrats can hardly be called a fair poll.

The last meaningful poll was when Bush won the presidential election by 4.5 million votes.

BTW Bush's ratings are comparable to Clinton's 2nd term. Imagine where Bush's ratings would be if he'd had a lapdog press like Clinton did.

The playing field is hardly fair.

  4. The press has gotten progressively worse since the slick Willy era. Eventually it's just going to be promos for whatever shows are on that specific network("tune in at 10 to find out Jack Bauer's fate!"), with an occasional accusation slanted left or right by the selective inclusion or omission of certain details.

It's almost as if blogs offer more facts. :)

  5. "Bush's ratings are comparable to Clinton's 2nd term"

That's what I thought, too, until I saw THIS.

  8. The MSM delights in bashing the Bush administration & Bush himself whenever possible. It's an addiction I think.

  9. It's not an addiction. The MSM thinks that by chopping down conservatives, they will appear taller. But the more they bash, the worse they look.
