  1. When you look at this small version, the drainage ditch looks like a shadow, so the cube looks like it is floating!

    Heh.

  4. Mega cool!

I had a lot to catch up with on your blog.
I didn't blog from Friday through Sunday. I see you felt like a loner blogging over the holiday weekend. If the blog bug strikes, we must obey, even if it's a holday! :)
I'm sad to hear that that cute doggie from Frasier died.

Have a safe, fun July 4th! I love sparklers!!

  5. Hmmm, it does look like the cube is flying. Actually it is just sitting on what is soon to be the deep end of our pool.

kathy: yes, some would call me square, I prefer the term cubular ;-)

j.d.: glad you're back. I like sparklers too, but I LOVE mortars!

  8. Oh and happy 4th of July to you all. I just love " GOD BLESS AMERICA" it always brought tears to my eyes when I heard it as a child. Still does. A beautiful moving(unofficial) anthem.I first heard it sung by 40s movie star Deanna Durbin in re'runs of her movies some years ago..It always stuck with me.
Anyway It is already the 4th here in Oz. So as the song says "God bless " you guys!!

  9. Have a wonderful 4th!
I couldn't find the gun in that link. There was a lot of other weird news in there though.
I read a great post on that shuttle crack earlier...
I liked the cool cube pic, you kind of look like an ice cube there.
Why are you in the deep end?

  10. always: yes we are. It's going to be a loooong summer.

kathy: I felt the same about Kate Smith's God Bless America. It makes me misty whenever I hear it.

raggedy: I just thought sitting in the deep end looked more dramatic. I can't wait for there to be water in it ;-)
