[The BLOG note: thanks to fellow blogger Cary who brought to my attention the movement to wear a red shirt on Fridays to support the troops.]

  4. Cute! And a patriotic kitty too!

I spent most of the day at the swimming pool. And I remembered to wear my red cover-up and my red sandals.

  17. That looks like stuart little - and I though, how wierd, to have a mouse picture on a cat blog... unless it's like a recipe calendar for a cat or something...

  18. I didn't know that, is it every Friday?

  19. Looks a little more "cranberry" than red.

  20. It isn't a mouse! It isn't a bunny! It's a real cat photo on which I drew a 'red' shirt. (Actually I used the 'rose' colored pencil because the red looked orange).

My Photoshop skills leave a lot to be desired.

  23. I think this is a really great idea, and I hope it catches on over there, all across the country.

  24. That's cool. I will have to remember that on Friday...

Maybe I can make little shirts for the mice and the guinea pigs? I'm sure the fish wouldn't appreciate them.

  25. jen: neither will the mice and the guinea pigs ;-)

  26. Please Support our Troops by wearing a Red Shirt on Fridays until all our troops come home…

I am a Partner in a small business here in Maine that has decided to promote RED SHIRT FRIDAYS, by designing and selling T-shirts that say on the back, Red Shirt Fridays, and on the front with the yellow ribbon, Support Our Troops. These shirts will sell for $12.00 and $2.00 from the sale of each shirt will go to supporting our troops by sending care packages to as many soldiers that are still over in Iraq and in need of our support.

You can email us, call us or even stop by our shop if you are local, here is how!
    395-gift@cmmn.com. 207-395-4438, or 2208 RT. 202 East Winthrop, Maine.

Either way, support our troops by wearing a Red Shirt on Fridays, or if you feel up to it, give us a jingle and we can help too.

    Thanks for Supporting our Troops.

  27. Hey,

I have started a company that markets RED SHIRT FRIDAYS clothing and gives 50% of the profits to the FISHER HOUSE FOUNDATION. My website is www.getmyredshirt.com Our shirt is designed by a veteran and currently, all the employees of this company are veterans. Please take the time to visit this site and support our American Troops. This in NO way supports the WAR but does support our men and women in harms way!

    Respectfully,

    Jon Williams
