Real Time Supernova

According to this fascinating BBC article, astronomers say they have witnessed a stellar explosion - or supernova - unfolding in real time.

The explosion was picked up in February by the Swift satellite. Swift is a US-British-Italian mission designed to look out for gamma-ray bursts (GRBs).

Cool stuff.
