Slasher Ted

Democrats Split Over Iraq Approach ...

"In the most aggressive of the new tactics, Senator Edward M. Kennedy, Democrat of Massachusetts, has said he will introduce legislation on Tuesday to require the president to gain new Congressional authority before sending more troops to Iraq. The bill is the first proposal in the Senate that would prohibit paying for an increase in American troops over their level on Jan. 1."

Clearly, Ted is pining for a Vietnam redux, but unlike Vietnam, Iraq is a front in the global war on terror. It won't be easy, it won't be cheap, but it is a war America can't afford to lose.

For crying out loud, will somebody please tell me why is this reprehensible turd of a man is starting his 45th year in the U.S. Senate?

45 years!

Just think about that...

  1. It is a shame that we had to get mired in this muck. Unfortunately I dont think there is any viable answer, except to blow the place off the map. We went about it in the wrong way and while adding more troops is a decision the administration is making with the advise of the military, I really dont see any way out. We are and will be spending billions of dollars to help people who may not appreciate what we are trying to do for them. Iraq needs our help to learn how to take care of itself. How come that has not happened after four years? They are still in disarray. Meanwhile the war drones on with no end in sight.

  3. What galls me is that they just caught some FOREIGN terrorists in Iraq YESTERDAY, and Teddy drones on today about the "Iraqi civil war."

Sheesh. Since when do civil wars have FOREIGN soldiers fighting in them?

  4. Iran & Syria are actively fueling the internecine fighting between the different groups. Remember when the famous Shiite mosque was bombed? That caused a huge retribution from the Sunnis, and chaos ensued.

Chaos helps their side because neither Syria or Iran want a democratic Iraq as a neighbor.

  7. shover: Ted, who deigns to be senator for life, just doesn't get the global war on terror. He is an irrelevant anachronism that should be voted out of office.

  9. this reprehensible turd of a man

    BWHAHAHAHAHA! Great turn of phrase.

Yes, the Admiral of Chappaquiddick is a disgrace. "Turd" is the perfect word.

Old Joe didn't think much of his youngest son, you know. While I'm no fan of Old Joe's, I can understand why he nearly despised Teddy.

  12. aow2: thanks, but it was only my desire to keep The BLOG free of expletives that dissuaded me from using the harsher language that Teddy deserves ;-)

I have many choice words for him.
