Yvonne De Carlo 1922-2007



Sadly, actress Yvonne De Carlo, best known for her role as Lily Munster, has died at the age of 84.

More than just an iconic vampire mom on TV, De Carlo was an accomplished actress and, in her heyday, one of the great glamour queens of Hollywood.

She will be missed.

    Yup, sadly all the icons are leaving us. No more Bogie, no Cary Grant, Kate Hepburn. Charlton Heston"Moses" probably wont be around long. Soon all we will have are the movies on TMC. To me the current crop of actors aren't really as good.

    Funny you would mention Charlton Heston's "Moses"... De Carlo played Sephora, his wife, in The Ten Commandments.

    You're right about us losing the greats who are irreplaceable.

    Ironic that I bought a Munsters box set over Christmas.
