Hogzilla Hoax?

You've all heard the tale about the boy shooting the 1051 lb. hog. Well now there is talk about the whole thing being a hoax.

I have a biology degree, but I'm no hog expert...

The Schnitt Show promises to keep on top of the whole controversy.

  2. nanc: it's too soon to tell if it's a hoax or not, but it sure looks fishy.

brooke: Michael Moore would've worked too.

  3. Bottom line: This was a canned hunt on 150 acres of not-so-mythical sized pig.

See >> http://terriermandotcom.blogspot.com/2007/06/how-big-pig.html for what the skull of this hog looks like when sized next to the original photograph of the pig. Photo hoax revealed.

  4. pb: Time will tell if this is a hoax or not. At this point, I can't say one way or the other. I mean, Rosie IS alive!

  5. How disappointing.

I suppose we have to wait and see what the truth is, but I'm finding these hoax things a bit tiresome.

Technology should be used for good, not evil.

I guess I don't understand what anyone gains from initiating these hoax situations. The satisfaction of sucking-in the MSM? How hard can that be? Not a major achievement.

  6. Looks like it wasn't a feral hog, but a pet named Fred that was hunted inside a large, low-fence enclosure.
