Everything nearly always gets brought down to racism. The race card is way overplayed which makes real racist situations less obvious and therefore less serious. If photographers were harassing me and my family and friends all the time, I might be inclined to throw some punches too.
BTW, I watched for about 1/2 an hour last night. I saw several meteors, one really bright one that was really cool!! I went out around 12:30 a.m. because I read the meteors would be at their peak about then. My kids lost interest after about 5 minutes, and my hubby was in CA watching the sky along with me. I hope you saw some too!!
I wouldn't punch them for the obvious law suits (of course, I say that in the comfort of my home office without having these dirtbags harassing me & my family)
That having been said, what I'd hope to do would be to tease them mercilessly & lend much offense to them verbally.
BTW we were out between 4-4:45 AM and we saw 7 meteors. My first one was a very thick & very bright one. Probably a Rosie O'Donnell-sized piece of debris ;-)
