Close Call



Twenty four years ago today, Lt. Col. Stanislav Petrov prevented a Soviet retaliation against the United States by detecting a satellite error that looked like the launch of five missiles at the USSR.

Sept. 26, 1983: The Man Who Saved the World by Doing ... Nothing.

Give that man's gut a hand.

  2. It was a brave call on this gentleman's part. It's amazing how G*D can use 1 person to either trigger or prevent a disaster!

  3. Petrov doubted that America would send only 5 missiles their way. This is what made him have the gut feeling that something was wrong.

    The Lord works in mysterious ways...
