I know the news is full of Heath Ledger's sudden death, but I didn't want to let the death of Suzanne Pleshette pass without a small mention here.
Pleshette, best known for her role as Bob Newhart's wife on television's long-running "The Bob Newhart Show," died last Saturday, just days before a ceremony honoring her with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Rest in peace.
she was such a funny woman and a fine actress and a beauty to boot!

ReplyDeletebrooke: She was in the Hitchcock film, "The Birds", but mostly I remember her as Emily Hartly from the Bob Newhart sitcom.
Of course, she was also in the finale of Bob's second sitcom, where Bob realizes the second series has just been a dream. Great stuff. Best ending ever!

She was also extremely funny on Hollywood Squares(my Mother watched it).
