Shady Book

Tampa International Airport Passenger Had Box Cutter In Hollowed-Out Book

"Airport security ran Benjamin Baines Jr.'s backpack through an X-ray machine and saw the image of a box cutter, according to a report from the Transportation Security Administration.

When searching the backpack, a security officer found a book titled "Fear Itself." The book was hollowed out, and the box cutter was inside.

Officers also found books in the backpack titled "Muhammad in the Bible," "The Prophet's Prayer" and "The Noble Qur'an." He also had a copy of the Quran and the Bible."

This guy is pretty dumb for such a busy reader.

  1. i sent this article to a couple of people this morning - my concern is how long before c*ir and the aclu come to this turd's defense because the airline was profiling?

    it's a thought.

did you see the one yesterday at fox where wal-mart had to apologise to muslims because when a lady in hijab came to the cash register, the cashier said something to the effect, "please don't hold me up!"

  2. nanc: The security people weren't profiling. They x-rayed the backpack & found the boxcutter. But you're right, it won't take long for the fruitcake organizations stand up for him.

I didn't see the WalMart story.

  3. Did they get his autograph? It's not often the entire cast of "Dumb and Dumber" AND "Dumb and Dumberer" all travel together...

  5. So, he hid the boxcutter in paper, and then sent it through an x-ray machine? Let's hope all would-be terrorists are this stupid!

  6. miladysa: Uh huh, sounds like a dry run to me.

cary: I know they took some nice photographs of the 'youth'.

brooke: Occasionally I would like some good news to come out of Florida. Sheesh.

jen: They're just pushing the envelope to see what they can get away with. Like the USF 'youths' with the explosives in their car.
    They are conducting dry runs.
