  2. There was an unsolved mysteries from when I was a kid about this. They postulated all kinds of "was it alien?!" kind of stuff. It, along with the bigfoot 6 million dollar man episode were the foundation of my fascination with pseudoscience.

  4. Why must they always bring in the black helicopter tin-foil hat crowd? Near-earth objects have been thwacking Earth since there's been an Earth to hit! That's the most likely explanation.

  5. I think it was caused by an infentisimally tiny anti-matter particle that simply went through the earth when it wandered in our orbital path.
