Lefty Thugs

BARONE: The Coming Liberal Thugocracy

Yet the Republicans get stuck with the labels of "angry", "intolerant", "stiflers of free speech".

Sheesh.

  1. i was basically called a racist by one of my readers (in the comment section) on my latest post, 'who is your Messiah'...it does bother me, even though i know it not to be true.

i do not even see how this person came up with that opinion, especially since she is related to close friends of our family

  3. A little anger properly channeled could help McCain win this election. He needs to FIGHT for those of us who are carrying his water. I still feel McCain will win this election, even though all the media sources say otherwise. McCain needs to get some spunk and not play it safe in the last debate.
Liberals are the most angry people around. Anger isn't a bad thing, but they often turn their anger into hatred and rage. It's scary.

  7. kris: Racism is when you attribute inferiority to someone merely because of his or her race. I read your post & didn't find any racism. Perhaps your friend is operating under the PC definition of racism where merely disagreeing with the position of someone of color qualifies as such.

  8. jill: Wise words. I didn't start out wishing for a McCain candidacy, but I believe it will be less damaging than an Obama win.

  9. j.d.: Properly chnneled anger. That's very well put. Let's hope McCain listens.

woman: It just turns my stomach to see it. Thank goodness not all Americans think or vote like the New York liberals of the Upper West Side.

nanc: The Big Zero hasn't won yet.

  11. chuck: Naw, they'll walk in lockstep with the new proposals because they all agree that the Constitution is a strict and confining document that needs to be updated for our relativistic times.

Everyone knows that free speech is limited to that speech with which liberals agree. Heck, they might even enshrine that into the Constitution.

  12. As for McCain properly channeling anger:

I think that with the left hyping up his supposed "anger issues," McCain doesn't want to be seen as the grumpy old man yelling at the neighbor kids to get off his lawn.

I think he's decided to play it cool and let Palin do his light work. She does so seem to enjoy it!

  13. brooke: Good point. He is being painted as "angry" by the MSM, but there are times when a little bit of rambuctiousness is required.

I don't want to see a replay of the McCain who soothed a crowd of supporters by telling them they had nothing to fear from an Obama presidency.

We have plenty to fear from Obama.
