Obama Snuborama

Obama Snubs Nation's Heroes, Becomes The First President To Skip Ball Honoring Medal Of Honor Recipients In Over 50 Years

Obama did find the time to visit these Inaugural Balls:

_ Neighborhood Inaugural Ball at the Washington Convention Center.

_ Obama Home States (Illinois and Hawaii) Inaugural Ball at the Washington Convention Center.

_ Biden Home States (Pennsylvania and Delaware) Inaugural Ball at the Washington Convention Center.

_ Midwest Inaugural Ball at the Washington Convention Center.

_ Mid-Atlantic Inaugural Ball at the Washington Convention Center.

_ Western Inaugural Ball at the Washington Convention Center.

_ Commander in Chief’s Ball at the National Building Museum.

_ Southern Inaugural Ball at the National Guard Armory.

_ Eastern Inaugural Ball at Union Station.

_ Youth Inaugural Ball at the Washington Hilton.

Unofficial balls include:

_ Congressional Black Caucus Inaugural Ball at the Capitol Hilton.

_ Creative Coalition Inaugural Ball at the Harman Center for the Arts.

_ Recording Industry Association of America’s ball for Feeding America.

_ BET’s Inaugural Ball at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel.

_ Africa on the Potomac inaugural celebration at Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Va.

_ American Music Inaugural Ball at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel.

_ Inaugural Purple Ball at the Fairmont Hotel.

_ Human Rights Campaign’s Equality Ball at the Renaissance Mayflower Hotel.

_ Inaugural Peace Ball at the Smithsonian National Postal Museum.

_ Impact Film Fund ball.

Obama becomes the first president in 14 inaugurations who skips the Salute to Heroes Inaugural Ball and it took three days to make it into print in the Cleveland Leader.

I wonder if the national media will even think this is news.

Sadly, I don't think it will.

  1. But isn't this expected of him?

Obama is a rude son of a bitch.

  2. Love the Obama toilet paper. Where can I get some?

  3. my arse is too good to wipe it with that paper! even koranlet paper has to be better.

this is where i'd cuss if i were a cursing woman - use your imagination!

  4. Oh, there won't be media coverage. I've been reading about this on milblogs (thank you, Blackfive!) since the day after the inauguration, but nowhere else. Almost HALF of the living MOH recipients were at that ball, and Our Great and Benevolent Leader couldn't take five minutes out of his shmoozing schedule (the BET ball? A freaking TV network?) to show his face among men of extraordinary courage and self-sacrifice. Thanks, "Commander in Chief."

And you know what? The American Legion was incredibly gracious about it. They recognized and publicly reported the fact that VP Biden actually showed up and was "warmly received." Good on them for their tact in the face of such disrespect.

  5. I have all kinds of foul thoughts on this. I think Steve summed it up well, he's a son of a bitch.

BTW, my daughter asked me to come to your site today so she could see your catblog Friday. She has become quite a fan.

  6. Steve Harkonnen: This goes beyond rude. BO couldn't stand to be in a room filled with heroes who fought for American ideals because he would feel diminished in that crowd. This is narcissism at its ugliest.

Anonymous: Yes, there is a site where you can buy Obama toilet paper. I would just Google it.

nanc: I hear you. I can't agree more.

  7. 8675309: Thank you for providing information that I wasn't aware of, namely of the American Legion's gracious reaction to the snub. I'm sick & tired of our side being gracious at the shoddy treatment from the left. This can't be allowed to stand.

Chuck: I am touched :-) I hope I don't let your little one down.

  8. Oh you are kidding me! What a jackass.

RYC-You're so funny, you leave me in "stitches!" ;-) I hadn't noticed that, good thing I'm not a detective, huh?

  9. Barack didn't want to be in a room full of Republicans?

  10. Jen: The Internet is going to be the most important source for information for the next four years. The MSM isn't going to print anything that goes against Obamaism.

As far as the "stiches" comment goes, I think I may have been a detective in a prior life, or maybe I will be a detective in a future life. Or perhaps I'm just a lucky guesser ;-)

  11. Papa Frank: I think it goes beyond that. My greatest worry is that this man isn't going to uphold the values that made America great because he doesn't value the same America that I value. A room filled with great American heroes just doesn't hold the same value to him as a room filled with hip-hop hoodlums and Hollywood nuts. That's the scary part.

  12. This is truly pathetic. Obama seemed to be doing well during the transition, reaching out to all sorts of people. But this is a huge blunder.

  13. Nice blog. Don't think the internet is sacrosanct.

I expected nothing more from a candidate who would take time from his campaign schedule to fly to Germany to scmooze an international crowd, but can't find the time to accept an invitation to visit the injured troops there.

I surfed here from Jenn of the Jungle.

  14. Obama tp? I gotta get me some of that!

  15. But what about the Bill Clinton Blueball?

    ReplyDelete
  16. Tom Carter: He has thrown a few bones at the republicans. A lot of talk. I'll wait for some action.

A blunder implies a mistake made through ignorance, stupidity, or confusion. I can't be sure, but it appears to me that BO snubbed this ball on purpose.

It's not the first time he has snubbed injured soldiers. And I bet it won't be the last.

Call Me Mom: Glad you could visit.

Exactly. He snubbed our heroes before this. And, as I told Tom Carter above, this won't be the last time.

Brooke: Too bad it's just a novelty item. You can't really use it.

dmarks: lol. I think Clinton skipped that one, but he managed to attend the heroes ball... twice. That tells me a lot.

woman: Yes. We'll soon see the fangs and the claws.

  17. He is NOT a friend to our military. He did authorize that strike in Pakistan/Afghanistan just after taking office which killed 16 people. I don't hear any outrage in the media over this... do you?? I thought it was HE who said we were killing civilians there, and now he just did the same thing. Where are the Susan Sarandons???? I guess when he authorizes it, it is justifiable action.
Our military heroes have my admiration and respect even if they got snubbed by our president.

Saw this photo at another blog. I wonder when it will hit the MSM? I think if we had elected a conservative president it would be all over the MSM already.
I love the banner "Bombing on tribs Obama's first gift to Pakistan"

  19. Wow, how many balls can one human being attend in one night. You guys are so desperate. It's hysterical.

    ReplyDelete
  20. anonymous: Yeah, we're a laugh riot. Isn't that why you're visiting here?

What smacks of desperation is a liberal who haunts conservative blogs and drops insults without leaving a calling card.

    lol!
