Zombie Austen

I thought this was just too funny to let pass without bringing attention to it...

Pride And Prejudice And Zombies

As an admitted fan of zombie lore, I must say that I'm not happy with this combo. I think there has to be a better way to get kids to read than this.

  1. cube - so you are a zombie fan. I get zombies and vampires mixed up. 30 days of night was good, but they were vampires, right?
There is something about the way zombies move that creep me out. And vampires - with all the blood on their mouth. Did you see I am Legend. Vampires - right?

  4. Sue: If there is ever a zombie attack, you want to come over to my house if you want to live ;-)

I'll give you a quick primer just in case you're too far away to get her in time.

Both zombies and vampires are undead, but vampires have fangs and they drink your blood, whereas zombies just want to eat your brains predominantly, but will eat other body parts as well.

You have good taste in movies and you are right about 30 Days of Night and I Am Legend; both are vampire movies.

BTW I haven't seen the Legend remake. I've only seen the Vincent Price and Charlton Heston versions, plus I've read the short story on which both were based.

  5. Jan: I'm an Austen fan too and I wouldn't read this abomination either. It reminds me of the way I feel about Peppermint Patties... I love chocolate and I love mint, but I don't love them together.

  7. I wonder what Jane Austen would think about this?

  8. DaBlade: Okay ;-)

BW: Rachael would need way more than 30 minutes to put such an abomination together. Comon.

Gifted Typist: If we ever needed an official acronymist, you'd be first on the list.

Sue: Glad to help. Remember to get over here fast in the event of a zombie attack.

    Brooke: I agree.

Woman: I thought it was a joke at first.

Jamie Dawn: I guess it's a good thing that she's not a zombie and is able to come out of her grave and go after the folks who have altered her book.

    zombies are waaaaay scarier.

but none are as scary as Lady Catherine de Bourgh.

  10. Cube,

At least half my hoarde of ammo is held principly in case of Zombies.

Hollow points, Golden Sabers, Ballistic Tips, AMAX, VMAX, name your brand. It's all about round count when it comes to the undead!
