National Weed Day?

I guess I'm not as informed as I like to think I am because I had no idea that some think of today as National Weed Day.

All I know is, last night my daughter was going to make brownies for her best friend's birthday and then she had a change of heart because she thought the school would think it was some sort of stunt and, as an honor student, she didn't want the needless hassle.

Are you as out of the loop as I am?

Sheesh.

  2. Jan: Constantly.

    Jill: heh heh.

    WomanHonorThyself: Not me.

nanc: lol. I can deal with velociraptors. I'm having more trouble dealing with those who think everyday is "homo/bi/trans/questionable agenda day".

  9. Larry T. Durham: Go get 'em!

Ananda Girl: All this talk of loops is making me think I'm a strange loop attractor ;-)

Steve Harkonnen: Good. You saved money 'cause all those things do is feed weeds.

I Ain't Got No Blog: Shame on you ;-)

    Chuck: lol. I hear you.

Natasha: Sorry, but I had to delete your inappropriate response. Hope you understand.

DaBlade: Yay for Cool Ranch flavor!

  10. I've got plenty of weeds in my yard. Who knew they had their own day?

  11. It's not really national weed day.
It's actually known through the younger folk as "4/20".

The date is supposedly Bob Marley's Birthdate(Not sure if that's true), and the day is taken to celebrate the smoking of Marijuana, not common yard weeds.

Your daughter didn't want teachers thinking she made "special brownies" fused with marijuana.

  12. CalebkDesign: Thanks for your input. You're new here so I can't blame you for not catching the satire.

My daughter called it National Weed Day. That's her verbiage, not mine, but I just played along by posting a picture of a dandelion... this is a G-rated blog, after all.

I don't know about Marley's birthday, I just thought it came from a 420 which is police lingo for a pot bust.
