100 Things Your Kids May Never Know About

Yeah, it's a fluff piece, but it will take your mind off the Great Racial Divide raging through the country.

  1. This can also be a "you know you're old if" post.

    I'm old.

  2. What a fun post... and yep, I do recall those things.

I'd kill to have a phone like that. Well... I'd kill a fly anyway.

  3. Ananda Girl: If you offer to kill a spider, you can come to the beach with us next time. This beach is always getting voted as one of America's top beaches, you know. That's worth killing a few spiders ;-)

  4. I always tell my kids that when I was growing up I only got to watch cartoons on Saturday! They are horrified of course. I do have to say though that my kids have never used the internet at library-we actually check out books:) We are the book nerd family. LOL

    Yeah, I'm older too-- ugh.

  5. Brenda Jean: I have fond memories of Saturday morning cartoons too. Do you remember the one day of the year when we were on school holiday and one channel had cartoons on all day? I remember looking forward to that day all year.

    Kids today are so spoiled.

  6. Yes, I remember that! I also remember Sundays being movie day and we'd watch John Wayne movies most of the time. I still love John Wayne!

  7. Brenda Jean: Yes, I remember the Morning Movies! Tons of them revolved around John Wayne... imagine that, a movie star who actually made a big deal out of loving his country. I'd be hard pressed to find one today besides Jon Voight and Clint Eastwood.

Maybe there are others but they're too afraid to "come out" in favor of their country. A very sad commentary on the state of our country if you ask me.

  8. I was just thinking about that after I posted my comment. The only other one I can think of is Tom Selleck. I'm not sure why celebrities feel the need to slam the U.S. They're rich, let them go live some place else if they dislike it here so much.

  9. Oh yeah, Magnum. The poor guy, he'll always be Magnum to me.

    Zeus! Apollo!
