For some reason I usually buy Hunts ketchup. Maybe, its because I live in Pittsburgh and I don't want to help to contribute anything to the socialist pigs pocketbook.
Chuck: We buy store brand as much as possible. There's no shame in wanting to save money. It's just that in the case of ketchup, we use it so infrequently, that we allow ourselves to splurge.
Ananda Girl: If they screw up Heinz, we'll switch too.
BeckEye: Heinz is reducing sodium content by 15% and they say it makes no difference in the overall taste. Yeah right, then why have it in there in the first place?
I tasted New Coke once and that was it. We'll have to see how the ketchup tastes and then decide.
Brooke: We don't use that much ketchup which is why we reflexively buy Heinz. If the new flavor were to bomb, we'd be out of there in a New York minute.

Jan: Like I mentioned before, I think using Heinz ketchup became more reflexive than anything else. I remember buying Hunts once a long time ago and it didn't go over as well so I never deviated again.
It's not like we eat it all the time. I don't have little kids anymore, so a bottle goes a long way at our house.
Dorie: It does sound a bit like they're jumping the gun on the White House food police edicts which will be coming to every company you know in the near future.
Heinz will be able to claim the 'love me more 'cause I got rid of the evil salt first' moment when the socialist food police come knocking on corporate doors.
They can't pass up any opportunity to control our lives.

Teresa: We preferred the flavor of Heinz to Hunts, even before Teh-ray-suh came onto the scene.

I've never noticed any difference in the taste of any ketchup I've tasted. Just not a gourmet food for me I guess.

This sounds like ad hype- they switched over to corn syrup a long time ago without heralding the change.
