Jan: It is a lucrative business. Body parts, including whole heads, are being transported all over the world for medical seminars in which doctors learn new skills. It happens all the time. Usually the parts are shipped more skillfully.
Brooke: Yes, it was unfortunate for the poor person who found the parts. The proper shipping criteria was flubbed up somehow.
Dorie: I agree. If someone donates their body, the least the recipients can do is treat these parts with respect. I wonder how professional some of these organizations really are.
Also, I wonder how well Ted Williams' head is being treated at the cryogenic center.
an uncle, years ago, had lambs heads frozen in a freezer in his garage when he had a fire. You should have seen the fire department/cops when they put the fire out and saw what was in the freezer...he was questioned for a while, trust me! My uncle Bluebeard! (Armenian, of course, the head's apparently a delicacy; one lost on ME, I assure you!)
