Klepto Kitty

This story made me smile... don't forget to catch the night vision video of the little sneak.

Dusty The Cat Burglar Steals Neighborhood Belongings, Brings Them Home

As many cats as I've had during my life, I've never had one who showed this "collecting" behavior.

My cats just bring home dead animals, not Manolo Blaniks ;-)

  1. That is just priceless. I remember reading a mystery short story years ago and the thief was the neighborhood cat.

We used to have a Beagle pup who would get out and retrieve anything that wasn't nailed down.

  2. I've heard of these cat burglars before... in July 2006, I posted about one cat who only stole gardening gloves!

I hope Dusty's owners put out a box with the purloined items so that the neighbors can get their stuff back.

  3. I loved this story on the news today. Too funny. And who can get mad at Dusty? I mean, finders, keepers, losers, weepers ... right?

  4. That is freaking hilarious! Was that a bra I saw him bringing back? Oh Dusty...

  5. Mustang: Exactly. Dusty is just picking up stuff people leave lying around their yards. I know I'd be more careful if an animal like Dusty was prowling my neighborhood.

  6. T.T. Douglas: It may be a swimsuit top. The funniest thing I saw was what looked like a dinosaur toy.

  8. Holy crap! Cats are so darn smart. A dog might steal something, but they'd try to eat it.

But then again, I am a big dog lover.

  9. Good Kitty. And thanks for the H. 9000 reference. Knew you'd be on point. We need to start a "Europa by 2030" club.

    or just blog nonsense...

  10. I've had a great many cats, but they never brought me any presents except the presents they've hunted down and killed.

Well, cats do have their individual quirks, though.

  11. WomanHonorThyself: lol. With my luck I'd get one Jimmy Choo and not in my size ;-)

The Phoenix: I love both cats and dogs and I go back and forth over that age old question... which is smarter?

Me, I don't have the universal answer, but I do have examples to bolster the argument for both sides.

  12. Annoying Joe: Europa certainly has possibilities. I hope to live long enough to see them to fruition.

Always On Watch: You're spot on about cats having their quirks. We have three at present and they have completely different personalities.
