Happy Father's Day



Happy Father's Day to all the dads out there who do right by their families every day of the year.

Today will be a special Father's Day in our household. My sister's son is being baptized and Mr. Cube will be the Godfather and I will be his Godmother.

This is new experience for us and we hope we are up to the task.

Now all I need to do is get Mr. Cube to stop with the Godfather jokes

    I hope the baptism was a wonderful experience, Cube.....

    Karen Howes: Thank you. Our big day was a joyful event for all... well my nephew disagreed with the wetting of the head with water and the oil, but in general, once it was over, he had a good time at the party.

    Ha Ha! Being Godfather to Connie's baby was an offer Mr. Cube couldn't refuse... except my sister's name isn't Connie ;-)

    Z: The baptism went very well. The priest was wonderful and very understanding of the fact that my
    nephew is in his "No" phase and was vocal during the ceremony.

    For example, the priest would ask, "Do you accept God in your life?" and my nephew would pipe up with, "No."

    "Do you renounce Satan?"

    "No."

    It went on like this during the ceremony and he cried when his head was doused with water, but it was a joyous and uplifting experience for all.

    As far as Mr. Cube goes, he was well behaved during the ceremony, but mark my words, I will bonk him on the head if he calls me "Mama Corleone" one more time.
