Leap Day

It takes the Earth 365.2422 days, on average, to make a full rotation around the sun. Approximately every four years, an extra day is added to February in order to make up for the extra time and keep us in line with the seasons.

You can read more interestng facts about the calendar:

What Is A Leap Year?

It's not really an extra day, but enjoy it anyway.

  2. A ski resort near me has Brad Day on leapyear. Anyone named Brad can ski free and get some free food. They sent an invitation to Brad Pitt, but he did not respond.

  4. I wish it had been added to a less depressing month. Like June. I can never get enough June days.

  5. We were sitting and talking about stuff last night and somehow it came up that our presidential primaries happen every Leap year. I had never thought of that in all the years that I have voted. So much for my powers of observation!
I do love the picture of the frog.
