Ok. So I am sitting on my sofa after having an adult beverage when it occurred to me... Not only was Sammy a cool cat, he is perfect for Friday the 13th as a cool black cat! Yeah, I cracked myself up with that one.
I saw Sammy Davis, Jr., live in concert in 1988. Wow! What a show! He had recently undergone hip-replacement surgery, but he still leaped all over that stage.
At that point in his life, he was but a few weeks or months away from his cancer diagnosis (larynx), and throughout the concert, he kept apologizing for his "bad pipes." Well, his voice sounded great to me, but I think that he could tell that something was wrong.
A tiny man, he had the voice of a giant. Yes, a very cool cat!
Happy Friday Cube! Sorry you are having a bad day. Mine is great so far.
ReplyDeleteSammy was a very cool cat! =;]
Sammy was cool cat!! I loved him on Cannonball Race, or whatever that show was called, hilarious. Truly that man was talented.

I hope everything gets better for you, cat!
ReplyDeleteSammy was great. I am a huge fan of the Rat Pack.
ReplyDelete"Sammy was great. I am a huge fan of the Rat Pack."
ReplyDeleteThe returns keep diminishing. Next there was the less-stellar "Brat Pack". Now there is the even less stellar "Frat Pack".
Hope your Friday the 13th was a good one :)
