Supermoon 2013 Peaks This Weekend: Don't Miss It

I was locking up last night when Elke, my German Shepherd, gave me a baleful stare which usually means she wants to go out. So, she and I went outside and it was very quiet and peaceful. I noticed how beautifully bright the moon was.

Turns out the full moon on June 23rd will be the largest full moon of the year, as well as the closest the moon will come to our planet in all of 2013.

So, grab your honey, and get out there and catch nature's beauty.

    Cube - Thanks for the tip. I always saw the full moom when we had our dog - since I would be taking her out. I love the full moon and also the crescent.

    I'll try to check it out - with or without my honey. : ]

    I hope that the skies are clear here in the D.C. area. Right now, weather forecasters -- for what they're worth -- say that the skies will be clear this weekend. **smile**

    Going to the drive in tonight despite the heat... and clear skies are in the forecast. We should get a very good look at the moon.
