Of all the forms of entertainment I can think of, competitive eating isn't even on the list. I've never watched one but the whole idea leaves me nauseous.
Cube - I wouldn't have thought of choking as a way to go in one of these contests. I would think that severe indigestion as a possiblity. You are right - it is sad that something that was supposed to be fun turned out to be a tragedy.
