Six Bad Apples

To quote the old song, "One bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch, girl, oooo....

The Weekend I Quit Watching All Football
After A Week of Troubling News Across the Sport, It's Time To Take A Timeout

Seriously, don't be such a whiny baby, Jason Gay.

  1. Well, I didn't know anything about this at all. I just don't follow sports. Are the NFL folks drinking something bad and it's making them act like fools? I didn't think so.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

  2. I don't care for the type of behavior I see in the NFL. They know better. However, I am not giving up football over it!

And I am guessing that a great many professions in the lime light have their equal share of abusers.

  3. I am sorry but I believe the entire batch is spoiled and not from one "bad apple" but from us. We pressure them as young athletes and when they lose an important ball game like our town did this past week, the players know to take their anger out on our town. Vandalism abounds and most of us are out replacing our mailboxes...again. When they grow up and continue the game they take it out on family members instead of the general public.

  4. Cube - This is like not flying after a couple of plane crashes.
There are so many flights. A few bad football players don't mean that they are all bad.

I wouldn't give up on football because a few players do bad things.

  6. Silly Rabbit: I'm not giving up football either. I called the writer of the piece a whiny crybaby.

Yes, I agree that there are abusers in many professions.

  7. Granny Annie: Thursday night's game between my Bucs and the Falcons was the worst game I've ever seen. 56 v. 14. It was awful, but there was no vandalism in the streets because of the loss. Maybe the vandalism in your town is due to a bunch of thugs that have nothing to do with football.

  8. Sue Hanes: I'll give up on flying before I give up on football. I hate to fly, but I love to watch football. I'm not going to let a few thugs ruin football for me.
