I think I know what you're getting at. I used to love this time of year when it was fun and happy and I wasn't mostly responsible for all the work to make Christmas happen for our house.
My girls are grown now so it's not just Christmas for me, but the birthday I have looming during the first week of January and it's a birthday that, the older I get, I'd like to avoid mentioning. Don't get me wrong, I'm grateful for everyday I have on this Earth, but do I have to celebrate the number? No. Just let it be.

I'm doing fine this morning. We had dense fog this morning, but my coffee tasted mighty good. It's time to get going now.
