There will never be another like Nimoy/Spock. He is an original and a classic. One Big Bang Theory has Penny giving Sheldon a napkin that Nimoy has used and Leonard imagines using the DNA to make his own Spock
Jan: Nimoy/Spock was sui generis, for sure. He was the progenitor for all the very human, yet non-human characters that would follow in the Trek world.
Sue Hanes: Thank you. I can't tell you how many people called with those very sentiments. I was, and always have been, a Trekkie... well, just since September 8th, 1966.
He was my favorite of all the characters. Hands down.
ReplyDeleteMay you rest in peace indeed. ☺

ReplyDeleteCube - I thought about you when I read of Mr. Spock's passing. I'm not a Trekki but I liked him.
ReplyDeleteThe end of an era.
ReplyDeleteSpock was always my favorite Star Trek character.
I'm gonna miss that "Green-blooded hobgoblin"!
ReplyDeleteSandee: Me too. I have always felt an affinity to one of the non humans in the crew: Spock, Data, Major Kira, Holodeck Doctor, T'Pol.

ReplyDeleteDaBlade: Are you out of your Vulcan mind? Of course we'll miss the green-blooded, pointy-eared devil. He has been and always shall be our friend.
ReplyDeleteAlways On Watch: So true. He will be missed.
