Triskaidekaphobia Cat Blog Friday

For this Friday the 13th Cat Blog Friday...

... not the predictable black cat (I've done it too many times before). Instead my tortoise shell kitty, Kinky. She's a very sweet cat, but also very demanding of my attention.

I'm not superstitious, but in case you are, GO HERE to see if yours made the list.

Happy Friday, everybody.

  1. I had a very demanding cat once. I loved her to pieces too.

    I'm not on the list.

Have a purrfect Cat Blog and Feline Friday. :)

  2. I'm her favorite human. If I don't pick her up when she wants, she'll pull what we call a 'flying kitty', leaping up and latching on with her claws. I love a stalker cat ;)

  3. I saw "cubed blog" at AOW's and nearly fainted...so glad it wasn't YOU!

That's funny about your FLYING KITTY!

When I started taking voice lessons, when the kitties were only six months old or so, (they were bro and sis), Marcello would run faster than the speed of light up the stairs when I started exercising the cords (and chords, come to think of it!)!...and his sister Musetta couldn't get close enough to my mouth...she'd climb up my jeans with her nails to get up as close as possible! I'd yell up the stairs at him (my soul mate cat) "Nobody likes a CRITIC!" :-)

  5. I can ignore a dog or a human. I absolutely cannot ignore my cat. I understand "demanding."

  6. Z: I'm glad it wasn't me, too.

Flying kitty only happens when I ignore the UPA (pronounced oop-ah) Kitty. That's when she stretches up on your leg and asks to be carried. Beware if you don't pick her up.

Animals are strange about some sounds. We had one cat who would meow loudly and gently bite my husband when he played the harmonica.

  12. Z: Lol. Accordions have been known to do that to people ;)

As far as our cat goes, my husband could barely keep from laughing while Baldy climbed on him, meowed mournfully and gently nipped at his ears and neck. It happened every time he played the harmonica.
