Blood Supermoon And Eclipse

For the first time in more than 30 years, you can witness a blood supermoon in combination with a lunar eclipse. This will be the first supermoon eclipse in 33 years and next such event will occur only in 2033.

You can get more information here:

and here:
Rare Blood SuperMoon Eclipse

After sunset Sunday night. Since 1900, this has only happened five times: 1910, 1928, 1946, 1964 and 1982.

It should be spectacular.

  1. Superbly Moon would be a great title for a book. I'm not sure what the book would be about, but the title would engage.

  2. Thanks for getting such good information for us. Astronomy is my favorite science and this looks like quite a shosw.

  4. Jan: You're welcome. I love astronomy, too. My neighbors must think we're crazy because we're the ones outside watching all the cool sky occurrances. We never see anyone else :(

  5. Jan: It will be a great show if there is little or no cloud cover.

  7. cube, I was going to suggest we should synchronize our watches for a simultaneous bark at the moon, but I see your first link has a countdown clock. Set you alarm, Z. This ought to be a good one!

  8. Cube - Unless it is cloudy. I always seem to be where it is cloudy when these spectacular things happen.

  9. We are having some cloud cover so I hope that goes away so we can see it tonight. Got my fingers crossed.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

  11. DaBlade: Baying at the full moon isn't something I like to discuss on the internet given my condition. 'Nuff said. *wink wink nod nod*

  15. Messymimi: We just got an afternoon deluge so I'm not sure we'LL see anything either. Thing is we don't need anymore rain right now, darn it.

  18. Well, we could see it but just enough high clouds to make the entire thing one big fuzzy event. I hate Ohio. But I will stay to vote to overcome the large percentage of millennials in Ohio who are forecasted to decide the 2016 election. Yea, really.
