Loose Cobra

An eight foot long King Cobra escaped from its enclosure near the 4800 block of North Apopka Vineland Road in Orlando.

It probably won't be easy to find the snake because the area is very densely wooded.

  1. Maybe they need to release an anaconda to hunt the cobra?

  2. Or a mongoose. They make short work of big snakes.

  3. You can't fix stupid. You just can't.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

  4. I didn't have to read beyond the title to guess the location. At least they reported it to authorities.

  5. I'm not a fan of people that own snakes. They need to feed them live animals like *free kittens*. I have no idea what someone gets out of having a snake in their house, and hope anyone who does dies from its lethality.

  6. That must be scary to stay around those parts. Greetings!

  7. Sandee: But it's OK because he has a license to handle these snakes.

  9. Kid: I think snakes are beautiful, but I've never owned one because of the feeding dilemma. I know the snake has to eat, too, but I'm not comfortable with procuring live food for them.

I almost bought a Punk snake once because they only eat bugs, but then I found out that if they get scared, they shoot out a very stinky substance. Hence, no snakes for me.

  10. Blogoratti: I hear that people are keeping their pets indoors and and very vigilant if they do have to venture out of the house. Imagine a snake that can sit up three feet off the ground. Very scary.

  11. Sweetie knew a herpetologist when he was in college, and the man's favorite thing to do was lock people in his lab with the cobra loose. He thought it was funny. No one else did.

  12. To say I wouldn't think that was funny would be the understatement of all time. And said herpetologist would find out just how unfunny it was as soon as possible.

  13. Messymimi: That herepetologist sounds like a real psycho. My sister-in-law almost had a heart attack when she came around the corner at a pet shop and saw a huge boa around my neck. I wasn't trying to scare her and we had a good laugh about the look on her face.

  14. Kid: Yup, I'd be up for some swift turn about is fair play and spring a few funny jokes at his expense, too.
