Moving To Montana Soon...

It's been a heartbreaking week in O-town.

Search Continues For Toddler Dragged Into Lagoon By Gator At Disney Hotel

Some peace and quiet would be good.

UPDATE 3:45 PM: Searchers Recover Body Of Boy Snatched By Gator At Disney

  1. I heard about that toddler.

I have a few questions about that. My experience in Florida is that if there is a pool of water there will soon be a gator in it. That's just how it works. When they searched, they found four other gators (None with a little boy in it). Didn't anyone foresee this tragedy?

I hope your day gets better. ☺

  3. I had not heard about this. Tragic for everyone concerned. Montana sounds safer.

  4. LL: They were tourists from Nebraska and didn't know gators are indigenous to the area. Not too long ago, my husband was at a local golf course waiting to hit when he happened to look down and there was a gator sitting right by his foot. Gators can be very quick and very stealthy.

I heard that they have euthanized four gators so far and haven't found the boy's body. I think more gators are in that man-made lake and they will be eliminated, as well. Then the lawsuits will start because that baby didn't have to be in the water, he could've been snatched while walking around the edge of the lake.

In my opinion, Disney dropped the ball on this one.

  5. Sandee: It helps to stay away from the news. I can't imagine how all of these poor people in Orlando are coping with the horror of the last week.

  7. Jan: But I'm sure they have bears in Montana! I may delay my dreams of becoming a dental floss tycoon ;)

  8. Who would think a man made lagoon would have alligators in it? Least of all a family from Nebraska! Poor people! And I'm not one to jump to blame but NO SWIMMING signs aren't enough "Alligator Alert" might be MUCH more powerful. That poor child.......and those poor parents.
    Definitely a vacation in hell...
Too bad Obama couldn't suck up the politics and call (R) Rick Scott...he DID call the (D) Mayor, of course, but Bush and Trump called Scott...NOT our president. @#$(*&@Q(*&@Q(#*$&

  9. Z: I can't imagine the grief these parents must be feeling. People are condemning them for having a two year old wading near the lagoon at 9:30 PM, but vacation rules are different. Truth is, that child could've been snatched up by a gator just walking near the water. Disney should've patrolled the lake better and relocated the sizeable gator population.

Obama is a petulant little wannabe tyrant who couldn't find a clue or his a$$ with both hands and a flashlight. Oh, lest I forget, and a moslem at heart.

  10. Having been on that lagoon many times, i can tell you that gators will wander in from Disney's sizeable lands that are undeveloped, and they will snatch anything they think is edible if you aren't watching out.

  11. Cube, whenever you're ready I've got a bag of dental floss bush seeds.

  12. Cube - My heart goes out to the family of the boy killed by the alligator. There should have been warnings about alligators in those waters. Poor little thing.

  13. Messymimi: I've only been to Disney World once, but I've never been to that particular lagoon. I have been a Floridian since 1968 and I know about gators and any body of water, but these people from Nebraska didn't know anything about gators and it should've been Dinsey's responsibility to better warn about or get rid of the gators in their man-made lake.

I'm not a conspiracy nut, but I do think that Disney dropped the ball.

  14. Kid: I knew you'd get the reference. That said, I'm happy that you will keep my dental floss seeds until I need them ;)

  15. Cube, I saw a story about some unreleased FZ being released soon. The article mentioned this first release was of tunes done around the Apostrophe album. fyi

  16. Kid: I'll keep an eye out for it. That sounds around the time of "Yellow Snow".

  17. FWIW, I like Apostrophe, Overnight Sensation, One Size Fits All, Zoot Allures, and Joes Garage.

The name of the new one coming out is going to be Crux of the Biscuit.

  18. Kid: Crux of the Buicuit sound like something Zappa would cook up, doesn't it.

Your choices are good and many of my favorite Zappa songs are on them. Even though it's not my favorite album music-wise, but I picked the album cover of Sheik Yerbouti to draw because there was no hair. It was just an arab headdress and fabric is easier to draw than hair. Everybody loved the drawing very much, so much so that my neighbor commishioned me to draw one of his beloved, Bob Dylan. I told him I couldn't do because Dylan had impossible hair. Just a silly sidenote to Zappa's influence in my life.

  19. It's from the song Apostophe. The crux of the biscuit Is the apostrophe.

  20. PS - it's been a long long time since I've done any drawing but really enjoyed it. Frank would be a good one to draw. Dylan would be tough I think

  21. PPS - I've seen some pencil drawings posted on various sites. These kids today are incredible.
