For this Cat Blog Friday...

... a cat who tells it like it is.

*meow*

Is that too much to ask?

Happy Friday, everybody!

  1. What a really cute talking head. He would make as much sense as the rest of them.

  4. Jan: I agree. Many talking heads, pundits, journalists, et al, could take tips from this cat.

  5. Kid: Cats do make funny, yet very individualized sounds. I've heard all kinds of endearing cat noise in my life. At our old house, there was a male cat who often visited our yard. His meow was very distinctive and sounded like, "mwo-bert", so we began to call him, "Robert." He would come over and promptly get chased away by one of our cats. He wasn't a bad cat; I think he just wanted to hang out, but our cats didn't want any part of that. We still have fond memories of Robert and his eponymous meow.

  7. Granny Annie: You haven't posted about your current crop of cats lately *hint*hint*, but I hope your weekend is meow-tastic anyway.

  8. DaBlade: I trust this cat more than I trust "don't look here, look here, Hillary. I can't say I've seen a better political predisgitator than her. Of course, having the full weight of most of American media carrying your water surely helps.

  9. Yes, I think you know of our fostering days. So many cats and each a unique individual. And their sounds too. Yea, cats don't usually accept interlopers.

  10. Kis: Yes, they're very territorial. At my folks house, we had a large female silver tabby who would chase all manner of male cats out of our yard. Le Meow (pronounced le-moo-ow) was her name and she was an amazing cat who loved sitting in the bathtub. Definitely in my Top Ten Cat List. I've had some amazing cats.

  11. I've/We've had and still have some top ten cats. I know what you mean. We have three left from our foster days, and 2 of them at 11 years old still play like maniacs. If they're not sleeping, they are getting into something or on patrol for insurgent mice in the house and garage.

  12. Kid: I get it. Some like to climb on counters or tables, and some don't. On Sunday, our Maine Coon, Shoshin, came home with a baby opposum in her mouth. I took it away from her and put it in a safe place. When I checked on it later, it was gone. I thought it got away. The next day my daughter told me they found a dead baby opposum by our front door.

Shoshin is a rescue cat who was declawed by her previous owners. Can you imagine how deadly she'd be with claws? I think the word 'Shoshin' means killer in Hindu ;)
