Today ends the Year of the Monkey *chuckle* and starts the Year of the Rooster.
The Chinese Zodiac
Okay, the above is a pheasant, but the similarities speak for themselves.
Knowing me, I'll be writing year of the monkey on my checks for weeks.
That one never gets old, right? ;)
I am a Dog and not compatible with Rooster so no telling what this year will bring.
ReplyDeleteThat pheasant wants to make America great again...
ReplyDeleteI'm a booster of the Rooster, myself (but not born in the year of the chicken). I think that 2017 will be a great year.
Good Looking Bird :)
ReplyDeleteI was born in the year of the rabbit.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. ☺
I've always liked the Chinese way better than the boring numbers way of counting
ReplyDeleteHooray for roosters!
ReplyDeleteGranny Annie: I think the rooster augers a good year. Just saying...
ReplyDeletebtw - I'm a dragon.
ReplyDeleteMy pet chicken would like to say a few words...
ReplyDelete:;> :> :> .." :> :>;> ;" :;> :> :> .." :> :>;> ;"
(He says he like the check joke)
LL: "booster for the rooster" gets an award for phrase of the day.
ReplyDeleteHahahah, about writing on your checks. Funny stuff.
ReplyDeleteI love this bird....
ReplyDeleteI've noticed you haven't changed the dates on these posts either.
ReplyDeleteHILARIOUS and very clever line about writing on your checks!!
ReplyDeleteI have a 15 yr old Chinese student who lives here....seems they started the holiday somewhat earlier in China because our kids at school left 2 weeks ago to celebrate with their families...
Anyway, you ought to see the large, framed 'poster' he had made for me at Disneyland Saturday...my name with each letter drawn as a Disney character.....I'm so touched!
Cockadoodledoooo! :-)
Concerned about your February absence
ReplyDeleteThe Happy Whisk: Thank goodness we don't write so many checks anymore.
ReplyDeleteKid: I love this bird, too, and I hear it's a lucky bird in Asia.
ReplyDeleteWoodsterman (Odie): As long as it's good enough for Google... I'm just saying ;)
ReplyDeleteZ: Oh, that sounds amazing. He sounds like a treasure to me.
ReplyDeleteJan: I'm alive and I'm touched to know somebody out there in the cold, cruel universe noticed my absence. Thank you :)
