Chinese New Year

Today ends the Year of the Monkey *chuckle* and starts the Year of the Rooster.

The Chinese Zodiac

Okay, the above is a pheasant, but the similarities speak for themselves.

Knowing me, I'll be writing year of the monkey on my checks for weeks.

That one never gets old, right? ;)

  2. That pheasant wants to make America great again...

I'm a booster of the Rooster, myself (but not born in the year of the chicken). I think that 2017 will be a great year.

  10. HILARIOUS and very clever line about writing on your checks!!
I have a 15 yr old Chinese student who lives here....seems they started the holiday somewhat earlier in China because our kids at school left 2 weeks ago to celebrate with their families...
Anyway, you ought to see the large, framed 'poster' he had made for me at Disneyland Saturday...my name with each letter drawn as a Disney character.....I'm so touched!
    Cockadoodledoooo! :-)
