Weird Science

Here's my contribution to Earth Day's "March For Science" from my favorite meteorologist, Joe Bastardi:

The March For ... What?

Science is the last thing on the minds of these idiot marchers.

  1. man made global warming has become a religion to many, not a science.

  2. Jan: I know. It shames me to think how science has allowed itself to be prostituted in such a way.

  3. Now your lib friends are not going to like being presented with any facts.

  4. Facts interfere with a good rant.

  5. Kid: That's why this highly credentialed professional is afraid of making an appearance at this highly tolerant march for fear of being torn limb from limb, literally, by these highly tolerant marchers. Sad, isn't it?

  6. Messymimi: Yes, never confuse a liberal with facts. I've been dealing with that all my adult life.

  7. You can't get in front of them. It's like the angry mob in Frankenstein.

  8. Kid: Yes, they just don't have torches.

  9. I wanted to be in the garden today but it didn't happen. But I did make some lovely dandelion and strawberry ice cream. I like Earth Day.

  10. The Happy Whisk: I happen to love the Earth. For me, everyday is Earth Day. BTW the ice cream sounds delicious.

  11. That was a good article. I just got back from walking Zeke and listening to Ben Shapiro make a similar point that no rational person is anti science. Of course, libs are anything but rational. I guess there is some Neil DeGrasse Tyson video going around where this condescending hack sets up straw dogs that we "deniers" are against the scientific method. That guy is even a bigger jacka$$ than Bill DeNye.

  12. The weather is cyclical and always has been. Always will be. If we humans think we can change the weather then there is the problem. One volcano can erase anything we humans are trying to do. We need to be kind to our environment, but we will not change the weather.

    Global warming? FOLLOW THE MONEY.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

  13. DaBlade: I would never call myself anti-science and I resent the left's ridiculous notion that because I don't follow the left's anthropogenic climate change mantra, I'm considered a denier. I've always said, "Show me real proof and I'll change my mind." I've never seen any credible proof.

Bill Nye is a jackass, but he's not a scientist. The bigger disappointment to me is Neil DeGrasse Tyson, who has the degrees from prestigious universities, yet persists in this obvious scam. I can only deduce that rather than defend scientific method, he has succumbed to the lure of prodigious amounts of money from a liberal source.

Off-topic: I'm still not happy with NGT's treatment of Pluto. We're supposed to trust our scientists, but I won't trust this guy's judgement until I see proof of it.

  14. Sandee: Yes. Very well stated. I can't add anything more to that. Good job :)

  15. Sandee: Credible proof is all I want and that's not an unacceptable request. Show me the proof!

  16. I reject Neil Tyson. Pluto is a plant. It orbits the sun and has a moon. I don't care if it is only 1000 miles diameter. Neil Tyson is not very competent I think. That he states his admiration of Carl Sagan only serves for him to try to associate with Carl Sagan's wisdom. He has little of it himself.

  17. Oh, and Scientific Method ! the global warming scam doesn't even come close! When your forecasts do not come true, your theory goes back to the drawing board. Period.

  18. Kid: I, too, defend Pluto's status as a planet. I think Tyson would've been lucky to carry Sagan's coffee, but I also remember people calling Sagan a hack. I think it's the money that makes these great intellects go soft. I think science should be science, but let's face it, we need to look at who is financing it.
