And there are more finds like this -- out there. It's along the lines of hitting a trove of viking gold. Very cool. Some day they may actually build a Jurassic Park...
It is a very impressive event to me to go into a museum and walk up to a T-Rex recreation in bone and think that this thing was actually walking the Earth and how glad I am that they no longer are.
As an aside, it seem like dinosaur science changes almost by the minute. Feathers, no feathers, etc.
It would be nice to go back and watch them from a perfectly safe environment. I think most of today's science about them would be tossed in the trash in the first 60 seconds.
Jurassic park was such a wonderful concept for a movie. Much better than Star Wars which the kids are bonkers over.
When I first commented I didn't realize that they had found an Intact dinosaur. Truly great stuff. Very impressive that some of the projections of that they looked like beyond bone were pretty darn close.
DaBlade. Those were good movies and probably true to life regards the activities of the Dino's but the one thing that stands out in the first one anyway was how 'they spared no expense' but had a couple of very questionable quality guys in IT programming everything. Maybe they followed the mooch method of selecting technical resources for your obamacare.gov website.
Just read this from a drudge link. Now I want should blade spikes! Very cool.
ReplyDeleteNo species since has matched their sheer awesomeness. Thanks to them for fossil fuels without which we would have no civilization

ReplyDeleteDaBlade: I love me my dinos.
ReplyDeleteJan: You have a point about dinos and their fossil fuel adeptness, but are they better than
ReplyDeletedogs.
LL: Even as a child, I knew dinosaurs were our friends. I guess it was cosmic knowledge.
ReplyDeletethis is so cool! Thanks for posting this! wowee!
ReplyDeleteKathe W.: I'm so glad that you stop by occasionally and find something cool.
ReplyDeleteWhen I was a kid I had one of those as a pet.
ReplyDeleteHey Mr. Woodserterman (Odie): Good to hear from you again. I think I had one as a pet more than once... we had that kind of househould.
ReplyDeleteFascinating creatures, if i'd had a science mind i might have wanted to be a paleontologist.

I think dinosaurs are a giant scientific hoax. But I love watching Cary Grant put together that dinosaur in bringing up baby.
Deletekid, I love my dvd Jurassic Park series set (#1 and #3 mostly). I miss Michael Crichton's books.
ReplyDeleteED! You don't think dinosaurs existed even now with this one being found practically in TACT??!!
