You probably don't realize how frightening those creatures are to those of us who don't live among them. They seem to have no weakness. I was glad to read this.
Jan: I live among these creatures, and they strike fear in my heart, too, but it's not like they're runnng around everywhere. My husband runs into them routinely at the golf course and I've read how some folks have them enter their homes through a dog door, but it's not like they're everywhere. We Floridians usually get through quite a few days without seeing a gator.
Messymimi: Yes, so many people break bad on gators when they're not as awful as their reputation makes them out to be. They are amazing animals... I'm glad someone else agrees.
The Happy Whisk: I agree. Gators run wild around here, but we don't run into them routinely. My husband plays golf a lot and he runs into them on the golf course occasionally. This is a true story... he was looking at where a ball landed and looked down and there was 3 foot gator right by his foot. He never saw it coming.

ReplyDeleteI love a happy ending. This is a happy ending.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. ☺
CUBE, do not try and reenact the event! The phrase, "don't try this at home" comes to mind.
ReplyDeleteGators are amazing, and you don't want to get close enough where you have to do something like this, i promise!
ReplyDeleteWow ! And if I lived in Florida, I wouldn't even put a toe into water that wasn't my own swimming pool - after checking it.

ReplyDeleteSandee: Yes, it's a happy ending. I'm glad you agree.
ReplyDeleteLL: Are you insane? I woundn't go after a gator unless it attacked me first, but , if it did, then all heck would break loose on that gator's snout.

ReplyDeleteKid: This is the main reason why I have a pool in my backyard... gators and sharks.
ReplyDeleteWow, great job, her. Question: What was she doing there in the first place?

ReplyDeleteI love swimming n the outdoors, but you have to be so careful in FL waters! Good going the girl remembered an important tip! I will too...
ReplyDeleteSnaggle Toothe: That's why I have a pool. Swimming in the ocean freaks me out.
ReplyDeleteSnaggle Tooth: My pool is fantastic ... and there are no sharks ;)
