Wait, Those Katy Perry Shoes Aren't Actually Blackface
The slip-on mules, envisioned as a nod to modern art and surrealism, were immediately removed from katyperrycollections.com after complaints that some might find them offensive.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not against the slip-on mules' removal from the Katy Perry line...
... but on the grounds that they're downright fugly shoes.
Good grief. For goodness sake. Pretty soon one will have to tape their mouth shut to survive in the world.

ReplyDeleteWhen I saw them, I thought to myself, "how offensive". The next thing you know, she'll sell moccasins on her website and will culturally appropriate every Indian/Native American/First Nation person here on the Third Rock from the Sun. Is there no end to the horror?
