  8. Kid: Cats are always the best way to start a weekend. We're lucky to be free from a Cat 5 hurricane so we celebrate. I know you're not near Florida, but it's what Floridians do when we cheat death.

  9. I know that President Trump steered that thing away from you because Florida has a Repub governor. May you never have a libtard governor because then you'll be in a world of hurt like N Orleans when the next one comes along....

  10. Kid: I wish it were that easy to keep away Cat 5 storms. It looked like our baby girl in Jacksonville was right in the middle of it, so we worried. Thank goodness she's out of danger, but many people are going to need help. Please send what you can to help the Bahamians. Those poor people need your help right now.

  11. Cube, that's it. I read that THOUSANDS might be casualties of the hurricane. Apparently one island was completely occupied by people not very capable of taking care of themselves.

Gotta say though - I have no intention of living in the target zone. Ever.

  12. Kid: We've already donated to the Salvation Army for the Bahamian relief and we plan to do way more. That storm could've just as easily been one that came up my drive way. We're always prepared but a Category 5 hanging on for days is unfathomable to anyone.

I don't know where you live, but I'm guessing middle America and that makes me think that a wicked tornado can run up your drive way one day. God forbid, I hope not, but you must know that no one is safe from Mother Nature.

  13. Things are looking like there could be a lot of casualties there, maybe even thousands. Hope not. We're in Cincinnati. Not tornado alley but they are possible here. One in Zenia about 10 years ago. 40 miles away.
