  1. The thing that bothers me most about this pooch is in imagining the huge scary clown that made it.

  4. Every year, Spaceley's has a "bring your brat to work day", right around christmas, when no one's getting work done, and the schools are closed anyhow.

One of the events they have is a ballon guy. This guy blows up balloons for about 4 hours. He makes the COOLEST stuff (like a monkey in a banana tree). And he blows up balloons for about 4 hours straight. did I mention that?

It explains why clowns are so friggin weird.

  5. That's really cool!

Sort of on topic, does anyone else get grossed out by the interstitial on the SciFi channel where that guy blows into a dog's butt and it turns into a balloon dog? Most of their little ads like that are cool, but that one's just nasty...

  6. bw: all that hyperventilating gets to their red fright wigs ;-)

jen: I watch scifi all the time. All their commercials are a little off... what about the woman who puntures her finger on a thorn & just pops into an orange mist?

  14. sweatpantsmom: I'm glad you asked. It is a sculpture by Jeff Koons from The London Royal Academy show entitled, "Apocalypse, Beauty & Horror in Contemporary Art."

I didn't get the title, but it could be "Boy-my-lungs-are-tired-next-time-I'll-use-the-air-compressor" ;-)

minka: if you pop it, you pay for it.

  15. Many kiddies and adults are terrified of clowns; clowns make these little balloon figures all the time; this is a particularly enormous balloon thingy; for those who are terrified of clowns this would be the ultimate "horror in contemporary art" and a clear sign of the apocalypse. The title, thus, makes perfect sense.
