  2. darn. it was a battle between Kirk's Enterprise and Picard's Enterprise-D using cleverly spliced scenes from TOS and TNG. Of course, Kirk wins.

  3. Ooh, I'll definitely get that for you, right after I get one for me. Woohoo!

  4. My dad would love this set...so I'd better start saving now! :-)

  7. My favorite show of all time, but I refuse to shell out that kind of money for the season sets.

  8. They are still a few of us closet trekkies out there! I would love this set!

  9. So this doesn't include the First Season DVD of Boston Legal?

Some of Shatner's finest work, I should add.

  10. etchen: I hear you. I've been a trekkie since 9/8/1966. If someone wants to call me a trekker, I'm OK with that too. I love Trek. I don't care what people call it.

  11. tlm: It may be funny, but Denny Crane is no Captain Kirk.

  12. I love Star Trek too. You know ebuc when I was a kid I was an avid sci fi reader. Asimov . Aldiss Ray Bradbury, Arthur C. Clarke .....etc Don't get too much time for reading these days. By the time I get the kids to bed ,I fall asleep myself after a chapter or two.

BTW Of all the Star Trek characters, Kirk and Spock are my favourites. No one beats them in my opinion.

  13. So Cube... You never said where your alliegences are!

I would like to submit that Capt. Sisko would easily kick the tar out of both ships combined.

  14. Oh, and he'd kick the tar out of both Kirk and Picard OFF their ships, too!

  15. My daughter recently watched several old Star Trek episodes. She loved them!
I think you NEED that $2300 set.

  16. At this point I consider myself one of the persons the winkwink is not aimed at.
Why of why would I ever spend so much money and inflict that sorta pain on somebody?
Seriously, I donæt know a single Star Trek fan personally, except you via blogging. Is it an American thing?
But if you really want, i´ll buy you one of those dolls that look like the characters :)

  17. No thanks, those dolls suck!

I don't know about it being an American thing; I've never been abroad, except for Canada.

I don't personally care for original Trek. (I cannot stand Shatner.)

I don't like Voyager, either, but TNG is pretty good if you ignore the movies, and DS9 is THE BEST!

I liked Enterprise a little; I like Bakula, and the guy that plays Phlox, but I could do without all of the temporal nonsense.

  19. woah, all this Trek talk & I missed it. My phone line was cut yesterday & we had no phone, no fax, and no Internet.

  20. kathy: I've probably read the same books you did. And yes, Kirk & Spock are terrific characters.

brooke: the Defiant is a formidable little ship, but don't you think Sisko, being part supernatural being, would have an unfair advantage over the human captains?

j.d.: need? hmmm, how about wishlist?

minka: Trek fandom is a worldwide phenomenon.

brooke: I love the Shat man. TOS is dated, but it gets points from me for being the progenitor show.
Spock was my favorite of the crew.

michelle: good idea. you can always find it cheaper on eBay.

eyes: oh I loved those and Outer Limits, too. Sadly, they don't make them like that anymore.

  21. I wonder if they have Capt Picard singing the "a you're adorable" song on the bridge of the Enterprise? That little clip has been circulating the internet and is quite disturbing.

    The question is answered. :)

  23. bw: I've seen it. It is disturbing, but it just goes to show you what a good actor Patrick Stewart is.

mcf: the first link doesn't work, but the second one did.

  24. Oops spoke too soon. I see now the preview is available but the video doesn't load. Bummer. Enjoy this one instead:

  26. Cube, how many ST conventions have you been to? And do you read www.wilwheaton.net?

    ReplyDelete
  27. jenny: I've never been to one. The only time I read Wil's blog was when his cat was dying. It's the one time I've felt that he wasn't a walking turd ;-)
