After 6 Months, Vista Progress Report: Mixed Results

Some users are "upgrading" back to Windows XP!

Yikes! I'm glad I didn't run out & switch.

  1. Exactly - as with any "new and improved" software from Microsoft - 'll wait until the bugs are out. I'm just not that adventurous.

Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting!

  2. Sometimes I have to wonder how these new things are tested. Bugs are always found after people have spent a lot of money to be "the first on the block" with the newest thing. Is it worht it? No. I'll wait for the price to go down and the bugs to be exterminated. Which means I may never get Vista.

  3. cattiva: I like new gadgets, but I control myself until I think it's worth spending the money.

BTW I found your blog though cross-pollination via Jen's blog.

  4. jill: One of those who switched back to XP was one of the first to use (and test) Vista.

As long as XP is doing OK for my needs, why switch?

  8. My son bought an AlienWare notebook which came with Vista. He is pretty much used to the quirks, I am happy with XP, if it ain't broke, why fix it?
