Earth Day

I love the Earth every single day so I thought it would be more appropriate today to single out my second favorite planet, Mars.

If you're interested, the NASA site has many fun facts about Mars.

  1. Yes we wouldn't want to discriminate against the other planets.

  3. Earth Day is a sham. I'll substitute "Earth" for "Kids" in the answer my mother always told me when I asked why there was a Mothers Day and Fathers Day but no Kids Day:

    Every day is Earth Day.

  4. I find it rather funny that it is the perception that Republicans don't care about the Earth and Democrats seek to protect the Earth. If you go to the states where there is more "Earth" that people own and take care of themselves they are ALL Republican areas. It's only where people are bunched all together and they pay other people to care for their little spot of "Earth" that the Democrats have a majority. Once again an example of how liberals pay lip service to an idea while conservatives respect the land and use their hard work and sweat to take care of it.

  7. Japan wouldn't be all bad. At least there are no Clintons running for office there.

  8. Is there anyone who hasn't seen the words GO GREEN many, many times lately?
Turning off lights when they are not needed is common sense for my wallet - it will NOT save the planet from imminent doom.
You are SO right. Earth Day is every day. We need to be wise about our use of the resources of this planet. The key word is "wise."
