Pope Departs

Pope Benedict XVI Leaves After Six-Day U.S. Visit

Pope Benedict XVI, a.k.a. the German Shepherd, has left the country. Frankly, I'm a little sad to see him go.

  2. I'm not Catholic, but I thought he brought a spirit to the country that I will miss.

  6. I wonder if his words will do any real good or will they fade away and be lost on most of us.

  7. nanc: I was psyched over hearing the leader of roughly 1 billion Catholics on the planet pontificating about the greatness of America.

jan: I agree. After all the misery we watch on the news day after day,
it was so refreshing to hear some positive feedback.

    kat: Leave it to nanc.

tmw: Ha ha! Why not a Doberman?

phoenix: Ahh, you have risen from the ashes once again. Welcome back.

angel: Oh yeah. I would call the visit a success.

jill: This Pope is very scholarly & doesn't use words lightly. We can only hope that his message lives on past his visit.

  8. I was, frankly, worried.

First, you tell us that Edward passed away.

Then you mention that Hazel had gone.

Now, you say the Pope left...
